Ahmed and Asil Abu Asad

The twin martyrs, Ahmed and Asil Abu Asad, were the youngest in the family.

Two days before their martyrdom, Ahmed went to the barber and styled his hair, saying, “Even if I die, I want to look neat and good.”

Asil was a quiet and shy girl who cared a lot about her appearance, yet she was kind and gentle. Despite tough circumstances, she never burdened her father with expenses.

If given the chance to grow and live, she wished to study fashion design or become influential in the fashion world. She saved from her expenses but retained her childlike nature.

Ahmed, on the other hand, was full of vitality and activity. He loved playing football and dreamed of becoming a football player. He always played after returning from school.

Their father encouraged them to study for future success. However, today he regrets and says, “I didn’t know that Ahmed wouldn’t grow up; I should have let him play as he always wanted.

They, along with their mother, were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on October 21, 2023
