Ahmed Badr Al-Sankari Ahmed

Ahmed Badr Al-Sankari Ahmed, 21 years old. Ahmed loved playing football passionately, almost at a professional level. His loyal cousin says, “I still remember our joy while playing in the street like other children in Gaza. We played and scored goals for his team; at that moment, we experienced a happiness any child would wish for due to his exceptional skills.” A He excelled in high school and joined the Islamic University to study Computer Science and Information Systems. He was open-minded and enjoyed life like any young person his age. He was regular in attending mosques, a memorizer of the Quran, and entrusted it to the Abd Azam Mosque.

On December 14, 2023, Thursday, he went out to sit on the doorstep with the neighbor’s son, feeling bored at the time. He went out and never returned. He was hit by an Israeli artillery shell and martyred.

His cousin says, “I still remember the sound of his smile in our last conversation when he said to me, ‘We’re all fine, don’t worry.’ I’m no longer worried about you, confident that you’re in a better place.”

His story ended in life, but he remains in our minds and will never fade away.
