The martyr, the child Asia Fahmi Abdullah, aged 1 year and 5 months.
Her mother, Heba, wrote on her birthday: ‘Please, God, make me raise her from a tender child until she becomes a responsible young lady. May no fate or people separate us.’
God answered her mother’s prayer, as Asia departed with her mother, never to be separated by fate or people.
Asia came after three years of her parents’ waiting. She was her mother’s constant companion, her little darling whom she cherished and loved dearly.
Asia was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on their home on December 2, 2023, along with her mother and father.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
