Martyr Dr. Hammam Al-Deeb, “Abu Jamal”
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University and later specialized in orthopedics, working at the specialized clinic in the Arab Private Hospital. Since the beginning of the war on Gaza, most of his time was spent in the operating room, not distinguishing between night and day.
Dr. Hammam had a heartwarming smile and never hesitated to help those in need. He respected his colleagues and teachers, and possessed determination as strong as the mountains, never hesitating for a moment to defend the oppressed.
Dr. Hammam was martyred in an Israeli bombardment on Gaza in October 2023.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
