I am Dr. Nagham Abu Shawish, studying dentistry in the fourth year. I support FC Barcelona. I used to be the laughter in the house, and everyone loved me. I loved life and dreamed of treating people’s teeth, aiming to become a renowned dentist.
On November 23, 2023, there was an announcement of a humanitarian ceasefire. I was overjoyed and thought, ‘Finally, I will sleep peacefully.’ But at around six in the morning, an hour before the ceasefire began, Israeli airstrikes targeted a house next to ours, and both my mother and I were martyred.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
