The current president of the Islamic University in Gaza.

Ranked among the top 2% of researchers worldwide in 2021.

Holds a professorship in theoretical physics and applied mathematics.

Received the Abdel Hameed Shoman Award for Young Arab Scientists.

Appointed as the holder of the UNESCO Chair in Physics, Astrophysics, and Space Sciences in Palestine.

Dr. Sufian was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza on December 2, 2023.

Update 2024: The family of Professor Sufian is lost! This family suffered genocide by Israel, and none of them survived.

إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
