Eyad Mahmoud Zatma
Eyad was 45 years old and served as the Deputy of Employee Affairs at the Islamic University. He had a beautiful soul and a contagious laugh. He never tolerated anyone’s distress, and everyone loved him.
His niece, Basmla, wrote about him, “We wanted to bid you farewell, my uncle, but even the luxury of death was denied to us. My uncle Eyad is not just a number, he loved life.”
On December 1, 2023, Eyad was martyred in an Israeli airstrike that targeted his home.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
