Fidaa, a devoted 35-year-old mother of five, had her youngest son close to her heart. Fate tragically separated her from her children. A kind and beloved soul, she dreamt of her eldest daughter’s success and celebrated her son’s achievements, but she couldn’t witness them. Fidaa treated me as her own daughter, offering unwavering love and guidance. Her untimely death on October 13th, just days before her birthday, remains surreal. Seeking safety, she joined me, only to face the horror of an Israeli bombing on that fateful night. Fidaa, my husband, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law were martyred. Retrieving them from the rubble a week later marked an agonizing end. The pain of losing them is beyond words.
