The martyr journalist Hassouna Salim,
A journalist from the Gaza Strip, he never stopped covering events since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7. He received numerous threats from the Israeli army and shared on TikTok, saying, “We are being threatened not to publish the truth through calls and text messages. Our message is that we will remain in the field, persistent.”
His wedding was scheduled a month later, in December 2023. He dreamt of having a small, happy family and starting a new life with them.
However, Israel carried out its threat, and he was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on the Bureij camp on November 18, 2023.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
