Mohammad Walid Younis, the brother of the martyr and son of Um Hussein, says:

My martyr mother, by the will of God, is Um Hussein, and my martyr brother, by the will of God, is Hussein Walid Younis.

Hussein, also known as Abu Al-Heitham, was a teacher of social studies at Al-Imam Al-Shafi’i School in Gaza and a professional photographer.

“Abu Al-Heitham was a resilient and ambitious person who established the ‘Al-Amara Studio & Chalet’ for photography, achieving remarkable success through God’s grace and his innovative ideas along with his hard work.

Our home was targeted on November 21, and Abu Al-Heitham was bleeding, unnoticed by anyone, standing against the wall, waiting for his wife, children, and the rest of the family to safely exit.

My noble educator mother, who hadn’t been retired from her teaching career for just one year, after a journey filled with love, dedication, and commitment in everything, was martyred.

On November 23, 2023, after his stay in the intensive care unit, my brother Abu Al-Heitham was martyred, leaving behind four children. May God make it easy for you, my beloved mother, and make it easy for you, Abu Al-Heitham.

Hussein was martyred due to his injuries from an Israeli bombing on their house on November 23, 2023.
