The family of Ibtesam Mohammed Al-Habeel.

Ibtesam Al-Habeel served as a teacher for over 30 years at Al-Shuja’iya Elementary School. She was very wise, calm, and loving towards both the children and the teachers alike. She was a mother to five daughters and three sons.

Her daughter, Dr. Tasneem, a beautiful dental graduate, was a hardworking and kind-hearted individual. Her dream was to open her own dental clinic. And her beautiful daughter, Anasim, a lawyer with an everlasting smile, graduated from the Faculty of Law a few months ago. She was on the verge of becoming one of the prominent lawyers in the country.

Her exceptional daughter, Islam, was one of the top students in optometry, currently in her fourth year. Her youngest daughter, Raghad, possessed a loving and beautiful heart. She was a first-year medical student, having achieved a remarkable score of 98.6% in the final high school exams just a few months before the war. Her dream was to become a renowned medical professional.

As for Akram, her second son, he was a dear person. Despite being wheelchair-bound since birth, he underwent daily kidney dialysis during and before the war. Despite facing all these challenges, he maintained a beautiful spirit and never complained. He also succeeded in graduating from the Faculty of Sharia.

The Israeli occupation targeted their home with three missiles on Friday, November 3, 2023. Until now, they all remain under the rubble. Ibtesam, along with her children, her wise and loving husband Anis Fathi Abdul Nabi, and her eldest son Saleh, a dedicated father and outstanding engineer, left behind his pregnant wife Saba in her third month of pregnancy.

إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
