Inas Al-Saqa

The martyr, artist Inas Al-Saqa, 53 years old.

Artist Inas Al-Saqa was among the first women to work in Gaza’s theater. Among her notable theatrical works were ‘Women of Gaza’ and ‘Job’s Patience,’ created after the 2014 war to defend the women and children of Gaza.

In one of the theatrical scenes, Inas shouted, ‘My children, the world knows, my children are under the rubble.’

This scene became tragically real as the Palestinian artist Inas Al-Saqa, along with her daughters Lina and Sarah, was martyred after their home was targeted by Israeli airstrikes.

The next day, the body of her son Ibrahim, who was missing under the rubble, was recovered. Her other daughters Rita and Farah were also injured.

Artist Inas Al-Saqa was martyred in an Israeli airstrike in the heart of Gaza City on October 31, 2023.
