The martyr, Islam Yousef Abu Ghazaleh.
Islam studied microbiology and worked in medical analysis. Besides excelling in her field, she was also talented in drawing. She dreamed of pursuing her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education outside Gaza. However, her dream was cut short after Israeli warplanes bombed her home on November 8, 2023.
Her cousin mentioned that she was only identified when rescued from the rubble by a necklace she wore shaped like the map of Palestine.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
