He used to help anyone in need, even beyond his capacity, and his wife Salwa was also beloved by everyone.
Iyad and Nayel are the brothers of Jamal Al-Durra, Jamal who lost his son Mohammed Al-Durra, who was martyred in the uprising in 2000.
On October 13, 2023, this family once again fell victim to the killing of its members at the hands of the Israeli occupation. This time, Nayel and his wife Salwa were martyred alongside his brother Iyad Al-Durra. Jamal mourned them, saying, ‘Book a place for me next to you and greet Mohammed.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
