Captain Jihad Al-Hajj Ahmed.

Captain Jihad Al-Hajj Ahmed was a player for the Palestinian national football team and one of the prominent sports figures in the Gaza Strip. He was a determined man who managed to educate his four children in the field of general medicine despite his limited personal income. His top priority in life was to please Allah Almighty, and he never missed any obligatory prayer in the mosque, even during times of war when hardly anyone would go to the mosque for the Fajr prayer. He would leave his house before the first call to prayer, and when asked about the reason, he would say that if the muezzin didn’t show up, he would perform the call to prayer himself and wake people up for prayer. He was a righteous and persevering man, a true hero in every sense of the word. He lived his entire life in service to his country, religion, and all those who knew them.

He was martyred on December 7, 2023, along with his wife and his daughter, Dr. Shahd Jihad Al-Hajj Ahmed.
