He resisted cancer as an illness and resisted the fatal cancer that gnawed at the depth of the country with his words, voice, and actions. As his comrades say, he was a blend of Ghassan Kanafani and Edward Said. Just two months ago, he was appointed as a lecturer at the Islamic University. Married to Tasneem, this marriage bore two daughters, one of whom is just a few days old. Khalil and his family were martyred in an Israeli bombardment on their home in Gaza in October 2023.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
