On September 13, 2023, Mahmoud celebrated his 32nd birthday. He was a father of four wonderful children - Lujain, Ahmed, Ali, and Mohammed. Mahmoud worked at a car dealership and aimed to improve his professional life.
Amidst the war and fearing for the safety of his family, they left their home in Dwar 17 near the sea in Gaza and sought refuge at his sister’s house.
However, fate took a different turn. On December 22, 2023, Mahmoud visited his brother’s house and quickly returned to his tuk-tuk. Unfortunately, an Israeli drone attacked Mahmoud, leading to his martyrdom. He was buried just half an hour later, as if he were in a hurry to meet death.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
