The martyr, Malak Al-Helou.
Malak’s friend, Rawaa Husouna, says: Malak was well-known among her university peers for her beautiful smile and the beauty of her soul. We shared everything, even winter gloves during cold times, as we knew each other since the fourth grade. Malak encouraged me to travel to Egypt to continue my studies after my hesitation.
She and her family moved from their home to a place they believed was safe, but on 10/30/2023, at precisely 11:23 PM, Israeli warplanes bombed the place where they were staying, leaving me with all this pain and absence.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
