Her fiancé Bakr wrote: Mariam, a 20-year-old girl, was preparing herself for the happiest day of her life. Mariam loved life, and she loved me deeply. Mariam, the elegant and ambitious girl, had many dreams with me. She was eagerly awaiting the travel date to meet her fiancé, and she had packed all her belongings. But fate had other plans. My fiancée and the dearest one to my heart, Mariam, was martyred.
Mariam was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on the Mirage area on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
