Martyr: Raed Yousef Al-Liddawi 0

Name

Raed Yousef Al-Liddawi

Martyr Date

October 23, 2023

Martyr Raed Yousef Al-Liddawi was everything to his family; he was a father to six children, the grandfather of the family’s first grandchild, and also an uncle. Known for his kindness, simple demeanor, and a penchant for jokes that he always used to make people laugh, Raed was deeply cherished by those around him. He co-owned Al-Manara Library in Gaza with his siblings, a highly esteemed and long-standing library for the inhabitants of Gaza, especially in the university area.

Despite knowing the risks of airstrikes, Raed refused to leave his home in northern Gaza. His life was constantly endangered, especially in the northern region, yet he remained steadfast. Sadly, the Israeli occupation wasted no time and eventually targeted Raed’s home, resulting in the martyrdom of Raed, his wife Iman Nagi, his second wife Latifa Jaber, and their six children on 23/10/2023.

إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
