Raja was not only a mother to her family but also to her nieces and nephews. She loved preparing apple and lemon cakes for children and relatives and was skilled in making them. As for her husband, Mahmoud Dib Al-Khayyat, he was a well-known doctor in Rafah who cared little about money when it came to treating the poor and needy. He was a kind-hearted doctor known for his beautiful smile.
They were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on their home on 13/10/2023.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
