The martyr Rawan Ahmed Yassin

She studied medical analysis and dreamed of completing a master’s degree in genetics. Very intelligent. She was a staunch fan of Barcelona Football Club, loved reading, collected many books, and adored novels. Rawan left, but her books remained.

Her father wrote: “My princess, no, rather my melody, no, my princess’s mother, no, oh mother of the prince, but you are more than all of this, the mother of martyrs, not just my soul, but more. The educated, nurturing, steadfast martyr, the mother of martyrs, Rawan, the apple of my eye. You are the hope, the prince, the glow of innocence, you are the future.”

Rawan was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on their home on October 11, 2023, along with her children Nagham and Amir.

إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
