Martyr: Riman Majed Al-Madhoun

The martyr “Riman Majed Al-Madhoun.”

Riman was a shy soul, captured in only a few fleeting pictures. As a typical college student, she treasured serene moments with her friends on campus.

She was sweet-natured, incredibly supportive behind the scenes, and cherished having sleepovers with my mom, her grandma.

Her life was tragically cut short when an Israeli soldier’s senseless act, whether from a tank or airplane, took away the lives of six members of our family, including Riman. Majed, my brother would pick up a few extra shifts to make sure he saved up enough for her tuition.

A beautiful young woman, her life ended senselessly.

Riman was martyred alongside her family in an Israeli airstrike on their home in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip on November 24, 2023.

إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
