The two sisters, Rital Atiya and Janaan Atiya, were playing when the Israeli army bombed the house. Their grandmother and several of her grandchildren were martyred. They were martyred on 17/10/2023 in an Israeli bombardment on their grandfather’s house, the Abu Salimah family, in Rafah.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
