The martyr Saja Al-Hawajri, 13 years old, was a football enthusiast and a supporter of the Spanish club Real Madrid, as well as a devoted fan of the international star Cristiano Ronaldo. When Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr Saudi club, Saja was immensely pleased that her favorite player would be part of an Arab team, and she began following his games after his transfer. Just a few hours before her martyrdom, a neighboring house was bombed. Witnessing this, she sat crying and said, “I want to become a martyr too, so I can find peace.” The Israeli occupation forces wasted no time and subsequently bombed their house, resulting in the martyrdom of Saja and her family in October 2023.
إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.
