Sand, a child, was one of the displaced persons with his family in Deir al-Balah. Sond and his family sought refuge in a tent on the beach. He survived death while under rubble, but today, with the bitter cold, he departed trembling, without warmth or a place to shelter him. Sand succumbed to the cold after their home was bombed by the Israeli occupation, depriving him of the house that used to provide warmth in January 2023.
