Sara Abu Sido

The martyr, Sara Abu Sido, 16 years old:

Sara was exceptionally beautiful, educated, and ambitious. Her dream was to study business entrepreneurship and earn a lot of money. She loved writing, her words were magnificent and skillful despite her young age. Sara loved her homeland, the sky, clouds, and the sea.

She loved to hear everything sweet and also loved seahorses. Just days before the war, she was craving seahorses, but she couldn’t have them because the war came suddenly. Sara stood out with her beautifully coordinated and clean appearance. She had a dream of studying abroad, but Sara traveled to the sky she adored so much.

Her friend, Tala Swaregio, said:

“I asked Sara a few hours before her martyrdom what gift she would bring me for my birthday. I didn’t get a response. But Sara came to me in a dream on the night of my birthday, gifted me something, and said, ‘I’ve reached, Tala… I’m a martyr.’ My gift was having the person I love the most in paradise… and that was enough to keep me reassured about Sara until the last day of my life.”

“On October 31, Sara, her mother, her siblings, Leen, Ibrahim, and her surviving siblings Rita and Farah, were martyred. I’ll meet many people after Sara, and my relationship with them will end except for sweet Sara; she’ll always be there, and I’ll remain attached to her until the last day of my life. Until we meet, Sara, I love you so much.”

Sara was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on October 31, 2023.
