Yasser Raafat Barbakh

The martyr Yasser Raafat Barbakh (1998-2023).

Yasser completed his university studies abroad, away from his homeland, at Alexandria University - Faculty of Economics and Political Science. Later, he decided to return to his homeland, stating, “We, the sons of this land, if we take our knowledge and culture abroad, what good is it for our country?”

He then joined Al-Aqsa University and obtained a master’s degree in diplomacy and international relations. He was an ambitious and persevering individual, constantly discussing his future and the grades he aimed to achieve, planning conferences, seminars, and sessions to attend.

Despite his young age, he was a fierce politician, silencing everyone in his presence with his words, speeches, and knowledge.

His final request was to have inscribed on his grave, “Here lies those who loved life and did all they could to achieve it.”

Yasser was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on October 23, 2023.
